I always order from here as my go-to late night meal. The Pu Pu Platter for 1 option is the best. Particularly, the boneless spare ribs have a sweet sauce that other restaurants can't compare to. Orange Chicken is a solid dish as well. My favourite item on their menu is the wide selection of Boba Teas. I can't get enough of them. Unfortunately, I can't give a full 5-star rating because there have been occasional order mix-ups, and the food has not always been consistent. Order from here for delicious late meals, and even more fantastic boba tea.

Pro: open late. I mean very late. Kudos for fast delivery. Con: food is well below average. Sauce with too much vinegar and just bad entree. Left an awful taste in my mouth and waves of abdominal pain. Rice was cooked well and the soda can was not dented... Strike two you're out.

At first it'll appear as the typical generic Panda Express knock off. Please spare yourself the tummy trouble and DO NOT eat their food. It's cheap and tasty, but you WILL regret it. I got the lo mein, orange chicken, and beef and broccoli. It was cheap and filled me up, but I paid the painful consequences. After eating the food I felt extremely bloated and gassy. The aftermath was a truly brutal and agonizing experience, like violent eruptions of acid gushing out of me. Thank god it's all over now, but never again. Honestly one of the most horrid (if not the most) experiences I've had with Asian American food in my whole life.

*PRUDENTIAL CENTER STAND REVIEW* Nothing good here folks, keep it moving. I'm not sure about the brick and mortar location, and apologies to them if they're unrelated, but if they're anything like the Prudential Center stand, I'd recommend you go elsewhere. TASTE: Simply put, not that great. It's worse than Panda Express, but just as terrible for you. Breaded Orange chicken was kinda stale tasting. It's about as good as an okay as any PE knockoff Chinese food place, except any other place would probably charge you less than the $9/10 they charge at the Pru location for one and a half scoops of Orange Chicken and a side of "Chow Mein" (read lo mein). QUALITY: Same as Panda Express except the food is never really warm. So think lukewarm Panda Express... VALUE: Think lukewarm panda express, but more expensive. Recommendation: Keep it moving folks, nothing to see here... The Panda Express references are used here because there used to be one located at the Prudential Center food court.

Terrible food. 5 out of 6 dishes ordered were microwave heated supermarket prepackaged food.

my husband and I ordered wok n talk for takeout chinese food and were happy that the food arrived quickly and hot. I started with the hot and sour soup, which was surprisingly flavorful with tons of egg, mushrooms, and I believe bamboo shoots. the crab rangoon were crispy on the outside and creamy on the outside, and each piece of chicken teriyaki was on the large size, nice texture, and not at all dry. we also really liked the shrimp shumai, so overall you could say that we were happy with the appetizers. we also ordered the general gau's chicken. it was semi-spicy, but we would have preferred a little more spice. some of the pieces of chicken tasted like chicken, but some of the smaller pieces were practically solid breading. it had some broccoli, but I do wish there had been a bit more. we also got fried rice, which while it was nice that it was on the lighter side, it was pretty underseasoned and could have used more vegetables and pork. the food is not the cheapest or best takeout chinese food I've ever had, but overall it was pretty good and I would order it again.

I used to love this place but NEVER AGAIN!!!! I live less than 4 miles away from them and put in an $80+ order at 10PM. I received a phone call at 12:30 at night telling me they WOULD NOT DELIVER TO ME. Not because of distance, but simply because they were overwhelmed with orders. They could've told me this MUCH earlier if they were that backed up. The woman wasn't sympathetic what so ever. There are SO MANY asian restaurants in the area. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE PEOPLE. Absolutely awful service

Wok n talk will forever be one of my most iconic memories of college living. I'll never forget this place because of the monumental stomachaches it gave me. I lived literally next door (I could see friggin wok n talk from my window), and I actually looked forward to the grand opening of this place for almost a year before it opened. But to my disappointment it was just another crappy pseudo-asian food takeout place. That didn't stop us from being tempted to order there at 2:30am in the winter, and boy did we suffer the consequences. My friend had some rancid broccoli beef, followed by volcanic diarrhea. Oh yeah, and they're pricey for a takeout place. They'll charge you 4 bucks for seaweed snacks that actually cost $1 at super88. It took me several trials and one case of vomit to finally stop eating here. Oh, I know it's busy because it's the only place with a parking spot, and in front of a bus station, and with coffee. The coffee is gross and the bubble tea is the cheapest tasting powder flavor with water and ice. I didn't know you could f** up bubble tea, but there you have it. We endearingly nicknamed it "sh**ty wok" (south park reference). It became a running joke amongst my friends: "so pick your poison: sh*** wok, subway or josephs lol"

Oh boy, where do I begin? It began around 7 pm when my buddies and I had our first beer. Then we had a few more. And finally a few more. So the bars close and we ask ourselves... What is still open that delivers? WOK N TALK!!!! Yea bro! This is gonna be awesome! So we look up the menu and finally decide. Fast forward 2 hours to approximately 3:45 am and there is no delivery in sight. Now this is not the first time I have experienced a forgotten delivery from wok n talk. I will say the food is purdy good all things considered. But if you are gonna promote late delivery you better follow through with late delivery.

Probably some of the worst Chinese food I've ever had in Boston. I only ate here more than once out of pure convenience since it was down the street from my apartment at the time. My boyfriend and I went once and ordered sesame chicken and scallion pancakes. I asked if white rice came with the chicken which it did. The bill came to $40 (with two waters) which I thought was absolutely absurd but with blind hunger fury and shock I swiped my card and bit my tongue. We then proceeded to wait almost an hour for the food to come out though we ordered in. There was one other person who ordered... The sesame chicken was sub par... Gray pieces of meat, some "pieces" that were more like crunchy deep friend bits of something or other smothered in sauce, and then a literal spoonful of rice. We powered through it nonetheless and regretted it on the walk home when we felt as if our intestines were filling with noxious gas (they were). A horrible sensation to experience after eating something. All in all a really poor experience at a really rich price. Boo!

I order the Orange Chicken I would have been better off going to Trader Joe's and getting there version. In a word Yuck.

This food was really bad I mean awful, and took almost 70+ min to arrive on a Weds evening. Nothing was prepared well. They have an extensive Asian fusion menu but they might need to focus on fewer items. The delivery man was kind and polite as was the person who took my order over the phone...beyond that this take-out experience was dismal at best.

I wish I could give this place a negative rating!!! I ordered online and the ONLY thing correct was my miso soup! I called them and the person who answered the phone was very rude which annoyed me after my delivery man was quite rude (telling me I didn't know my address). I had ordered a miso soup ( which was hard or screw up!), a crab Rangoon which is labeled online as 4 pieces.. We received a container with ONE Rangoon in it... Ordered 2 pad Thai (one with EXTRA shrimp ) and both arrived with NO shrimp!!! I called and they told me that this NEVER happens and that they would need to come pick up my food to fix it- which it had already taken an hour to deliver it. The lady then called me SIX times telling me that she could "re-deliver" our food after they came over to pick up the orginal delivery - I informed them I did not want to wait another 2 hours! The woman told me that it was "impossible" that we had received ONE Rangoon after ordering am order of 4!! I cannot wait to call back tomorrow and talk to someone new!! Delivery

DO NOT EAT HERE! I got food poisoning for several days after I ate here for a late night meal. I thought this place was a haven for being open so late but the next day I knew I had made a big mistake. I will never come back.

I'm in love with Wok n Tok... but it's a bit overpriced in my opinion. 5 stars for food, 4 stars for my overall rating. Their bubble tea is usually spot on and they have fantastic flavor options. My favorites are their udon, fried rice, chicken satay, and spring rolls. Sometimes I'll get an overcooked batch of chicken (I order takeout via Foodler 3x a week) or spicy when not spicy was requested, etc but on the whole, their food is just so addicting that I'll continue to pay for it. If there's ever a huge problem with the order or they forget things, you can call and they've always taken care of me. Takeout takes anywhere from 20 min to an hour and 15 min, so be prepared for an hour or so wait on average.

Delivery regular :) Nice service to the infinity ~! Always order their black milk tea (ice/hot) because I'm a maniac in milk tea. Always request with less sugar. Messed up my order on foodler and the staff were so nice on the phone and got me a free delivery with the one beverage that I actually wanted. Way to go!!!!!! You guys don't just talk the talk, but also WOK the walk!!~~~~

I ordered from Foodler at 1:30am on my one hour commute home from work looking forward to actually having a meal when I got home from work. Around 3:30 I started to get impatient and called to check on the order/ask to cancel. I was assured that it had already gone out and would be there "soon". If 4:45 counts as soon, then sure. Over THREE hours for delivery. Granted it was Friday night but c'mon. Everything was ice cold (obviously) and even when reheated was disgusting. Called the next day to get my money back and was told that because I got my order I couldn't be refunded and I should have called to cancel. Uh HELLO? I did. I actually lived right down the street from this place in college and other than one time when a stupid cashier gave me chicken wings instead of chicken fingers it was pretty decent, although overpriced. Obviously has gone even further down hill. Never again.

Ordered some dinner (walkable from work) in March so trudged over and waited while it was prepared. I got a combo dinner. Generals chicken fried rice spring rolls. Everything was fresh including he broccoli that's in the generals chin (nice bright green perfect all dente). I would go again if craving china-dina while at work.

The spare ribs are fatty, the delivery driver forgot my chicken fingers; but the pork fried rice is good. The lady on the phone was nice, but the quality of the food is overpriced.

Eaten here a few times and it's usually pretty on par for what you'd expect from a cheap Chinese food place - nothing great , but fine. I got food poisoning from the Pu Pu Platter a few days ago though, so no more Wok n Tok for me.

Delicious delicious delicious. Fried rice and crab rangoons are so tasty and the chicken pad Thai is superb. Better than you would expect and they're open until 3am!

The food is incredible. I ordered the country pad thai, bubble tea and dumpling soup. I've ordered here multiple times and the service is great, but the food is better. Highly recommended.

Decent place to get food delivered at 2am. It's a bit expensive compared to other restaurants, but not many places are open this late. I don't recommend the rainbow jelly option for the bubble tea... They kinda look like chopped up vegetables and don't taste very good, but I was taking a risk in selecting them anyways. No issues with delivery.

Ordered at 1:32am. Got a large orange chicken combo and milk tea. Received it at 3am. Wish the delivery was faster but it was understandable since my house is far away. The quality was good but I was surprised by the size. It was a ok amount food not large as I expected. Milk tea was amazing though. Overall it was a okay experience. Would order again if this was my last option.

Waited an hour and 45 mins for food asked for extra duck sauce got no duck sauce. Food was cold upon arrival and the delivery driver was extremely rude. He asked how much change i needed back i paused briefly to figure it out. He asked if i needed a calculator and proceeded to tell me i looked like a teenager. I called to complain they said they would give me 20 percent off a future order and proceeded to tell me they were busy today and couldn't fix it tonight Im a waitress and would never treat a guest in this manner ever. I am very disapointed as i waisted 55 bucks on cold food warm soda and horrendous service

The customer service was fantastic and nothing short of excellence. The food: for noodles the Pad Thai with crispy chicken Was beyond any Chinese fast food expectations, I recommend getting this if you are craving a noodle Dragon Ball ZZzzzzzz.............. ;)

I went to this place last week for the first time and I had the kunp pao chicken and it was delicious. The veggies were crispy and the chicken tender, just to the right point. I really want to try every single dish on their menu. Last but not least. I was told that they have a lunch and dinner special for 7.65. You will see me there!!!

Wok n talk is undoubtedly my favorite chinese food restaurant. They're pork fried rice is amazing - the char siu is super moist, unlike most restaurants that have dried char siu. I love that they add egg and bean sprouts to the fried rice. A regular order of this usually lasts me three meals - pretty good for a college student on a budget! They also have great scallion pancakes - however they have gotten worse over the past year. BUT this is the reason why I am giving this restaurant four stars as opposed to 4 or 5: while eating a piece of scallion pancake, I took something out of my mouth and saw that it was a PEN SPRING. You know that silver thing that's in your clicker pens. How did that get into the scallion pancake I have no idea!! I understand if it was a piece of hair (not like that would've made it any better) because it could've fallen from your head, but a metal pen spring?! I'm cautious when I'm ordering from here now. On a good note, they offered us another order of the scallion pancake and other things that we ordered. We told them we didn't want it now and they said we could save it for whenever we want it again. Nice save Wok n talk!

Over priced and they did not cook the chicken fingers good the batter was uncooked. I will never go back.

I can't attest to the food here, but it is the best and closest bubble/boba tea to me! I love the green apple green tea. Mmm mmm. Staff is always very friendly and they are open super late. Note that there are some innnteresting characters during late night hours given the location haha. I will say that the hours seem a little random -- sometimes I go by during, what most would consider to be normal business hours, and the place is closed. Still...if you want some bubble tea, I highly recommend.

We ordered via GrubHub. The delivery was projected to be around an hour, arriving at 7:45 which then got bumped to 8:15. No big deal, the roads have been a nightmare around Boston due to snow. By 8:45, I called the restaurant directly. The woman who answered the phone politely asked for my name and number and said she would find out where my food was and call back. I'm less than optimistic. I get put on hold when I immediately call GrubHub. It's around 9:15 when GrubHub picks up and, still with no call back from the restaurant, I just canceled the order. I can handle late food, but dismissing me after I've patiently waited 3 hours is terrible customer service.

The bubble teas, smoothies and slushies are to die for on a hot summer day. The many array of flavors and jelly and boba will satisfy anyone with any palate. The customer service was fantastic and nothing short of excellence. The food: for noodles the Pad Thai with crispy chicken Was beyond any Chinese fast food expectations, I recommend getting this if you are craving a noodle dish Rice: the mango fried rice is the perfect combination of sweet, spicy, salty and sour. To complete your meal you can't go wrong with any of the appetizers such as crab rangoons(which they make from scratch), mmhmm fried chicken wings with teriyaki sauce or the scallion pancake. To make this place even more better, they deliver anywhere in Boston and the surrounding area until 3am every night of the week.

My first review, cause the service and food was of such poor quality. My order was at 1AM and I got my food at 2AM I would not have mind that wait if it was at least hot or what I paid for. I got the Teriyaki Chicken 28 oz. Full Size, Medium Spicy, White Rice, Ginger Ale, 12 oz. Hot and Sour Soup. What I really got: A soup that was not even warm with no meats but some processed material, yes material that tasted like old fortune cookies in sauce could not even eat it. The rice was okay. But the most expensive part was the Chicken which I paid an extra $2.00 for large portion. INSTEAD, I got less then half of the container filled!!! Even worse was in that this HALF CONTAINER had only 40 percent chicken WITH NO sauce or flavor. Horrible expensive. Horrible thing to charge such high prices and then give worse quality then that of my local restaurant does which I could get the same order for 10 total plus 1.50 for delivery. I know it was a late order but they are open until 3:15. 20 Dollars for food worth no more than 5 Dollars.

  • Adam B.

The food is decent but for a take out chinese place it's about twice the price of everything in the area for the same quality food. Also, the delivery takes AT LEAST an hour to show up. I was about to order chinese on foodler and skipped this place for the soul reason that it is unreliable and over priced. Bye Felecia.

  • Abbie K.

This place does great drunk food. When sober I'm not super interested in eating here. The prices are good, and they are open wicked late, but I find the food to be too greasy when I don't have a liquor lined stomach. The bubble tea is excellent though!

This is my first ever Yelp review... With all honesty, one of the grossest American Chinese food places I've had in my life, and that's saying a lot! When I first moved to the JP area, I was really excited to be close to a Chinese food place, so the day after I moved in I went three and ordered the Orange Chicken. First, they charged me about $9 for one of the smallest portions I've ever seen, it came in one of those shallow black plastic containers, however, 2/3 of the container was filled with rice! But that's honestly not my biggest issue with the food, when I took my first bite, the chicken tasted like it had been marinated in sugar and vinegar (it had a very strong vinegar taste and smell to it). Flash forward many months, I was in the mood for Orange Chicken again, and thought, "maybe it was just a bad night, lets give them a second chance." I ordered the same thing, got the same tiny, overly priced rice and some meat dish (but to be fair I was expecting that to happen this time.) What I was truly disappointed about was that the chicken was just as nasty, if not worse than the first time. I'm not some huge snob when it comes to American Chinese food, I've had my fair share of Panda Express and other chains, which I never seem to mind, and sometimes even really really like. Trust me when I tell you this place is over priced and completely gross, you'd be better off going to Stop and Shop, and picking up a pre-made Asian dish in their frozen section then ordering from here!

  • Liz K.

My first order from this place will be my last. Ordered through Foodler and got what looked and smelled like a decent dinner. I ordered pork dumplings but got surprise shrimp ones that I spit out because they were clearly not safe to eat. Fast forward two days, two days that I spent full of anti-nausea drugs and STILL having a terrible stomachache, and I'm not going back. Maybe I just got some bad food, but won't be risking it again.

  • Binh L.

Decent food I can get until 3am? A drunken fool's dream. This isn't your authentic (that means the flavor profile is not complex in any way and dishes will be strikingly similar to each other - sauce wise) asian food spot or even a creative fusion eatery. Just some solid and classic (Americanized) Chinese fast food. I like the noodles and that they are customizable if you don't mind they are saucy. It is slightly more expensive than a typical takeout place, but their expanded hours, available parking, and clean space to eat makes up for it. I mean, let's not kid ourselves.. we don't order this food for health or to be fancy. Eat away your drunk remorse. Yums.

  • Bryan D.

Horrible. They delivered overcooked, stringy popcorn chicken (the pre-frozen, breaded kind) tossed in a vinegar-pepper sauce and called it General Gau's. Pork buns were gross and the "meat" tasted like sugared rancid pulled pork. Way too much bun, also. Shrimp shumai tasted off, like old, and there were quite a number of bits of shrimp shell. Beef and broccoli was just ok, drunken noodles were meh. I won't be ordering from this place again.

    (1)
  • Paul Y.

Very complicated menu. Tasty food, but would only come here when other options are closed. A combo cost almost $14 which came with (only) 3 gyoza dumplings and bottled water. Should have cost $8-10 max. Bad value but get where else can you get a cooked meal at 2am in JP? This ain't exactly NYC.

I LOVE Wok N Talk, probably one of my favorite bubble tea places I have ever gone to. But, the service here is incredibly slow. They are primarily a delivery place, so when you come here to order; you are their last priority. I once waited more than 10 minutes on a medium tea and I was the only one in the place. They also seem to have only one blender, which is strange since this place is known for their tea. So orders take a lot longer. Besides the long wait, they have great food and great tea, but weird hours. I suggest delivery from this place or call in to order before you get there.

Half of the order never arrived... we had to call several times. The food itself was fine but we had to get a refund because it never came, nor did they call to update us on what happened.

We ordered a very simple meal (2 items) at 1:00 AM. The order was quoted to arrive at 1:40 AM. At 1:40 AM we called the restaurant to see where our order was and they told us we were being inpatient. The driver arrived at 2:15 and told us to fuck off for being inpatient. We will never order here again. The staff answering the phone was incredibly rude and the driver was out of line.

I went for the first time saturday only because josephs across the street was closed and wow not only is the food overpriced compared to most other chinese food places in boston but the beef teriyaki was terrible and the chicken wings were dry...my order 3 wings(not even whole wings),4 beef teriyakis and rice=15$.....WAAAAAAAAAAT...i don't know if the prices were that ridiculous because it's 3am or because it's close to brookline but if i went to say Cathay Pacific in quincy, i could get twice that amount of food and twice the quality for 12 dollars i happen to work around the corner from Wok and i wouldn't go back even if they started giving away free lunch do ya self a favor and stay away.

Giving them an extra star because they kindly delivered during a snow storm and then called to inform me they'd be late delivering. That said, the food was really expensive and kinda gross. The fried rice had no flavor, the chicken in my chicken and broccoli was rubbery and I swear, they put orange soda or something like that in their duck sauce.

DISGUSTING! My crispy pad thai were those canned chow mien noodles drenched in sauce. The kung pao was huge 3" slices of celery (not the small chops that is made with everywhere else) with a couple of peanuts and not enough sauce. The seasoned seaweed was a package of dry seaweed. Nothing was edible.

Pros: Wok n Talk has the best Hot & Sour Soup I have ever tasted. Their bubble tea is also really good. They are open until 3 AM most nights and they have their own parking lot. They have free WiFi and they are right by the Green (E) Line. Cons: I have not really enjoyed any of the other food I have ordered. I only come for the hot & sour soup and the bubble tea.

If I could give this place a negative star, I would. I ordered from Wok N Talk through Foodler on NYE. It took over three hours for the food to come. We ordered at a little past 1am and I tried calling them at least eight times before giving up at 3am with no response. I woke up the next morning to missed calls from Wok N Talk from 3:51-4am. ARE YOU SERIOUS? Did they really think I would still be up on NYE at 4am for an order placed at 1? I tried to get a refund from Foodler and they informed me that the restaurant would NOT give me a refund because they tried contacting me about the delivery...hmmm.....at 4am? Hmm...what about the eight times that I called them with no response? I am certainly requesting a stop payment from my bank. They did not even leave the food!

I frequently order from Wok N Talk, and felt like they were one of the best delivery places, not only in Boston but one of the best I had ever experienced UNTIL TODAY. They had great customer service with the employees that answer the phone, decent delivery times, and good food to back it all up. Today though? Today must have been a full moon because the delivery was horrendous. Put my order through the telephone and the man on the other end was polite and helpful as always. But for some reason my food took 1 hour and 20 minutes!! When I called at the one hour mark a new man that answered the phone said "it's on the way" without bothering to ask my name or order. Worst part was when my actual food arrives surprisingly enough. The delivery driver was INCREDIBLY rude after calling me and confirming he was here, even after me telling him I was coming to the door he still proceeds to ring my doorbell as if telling me to hurry up when he took his absolute sweet time delivering my food. He snatched every item of of my hand and never said thank you. Wok N Talk, please get it together so I can actually order from or recommend your establishment again. Until then, I think I'll take a break

I was pretty thrilled with the whole experience of Wok n Talk, except for their name. And their ridiculous website. Seriously, someone needs to do an intervention on restaurant websites, they're all so bad! But these are meritless complaints. The fact of the matter is, the online ordering process was easy and the food was good. Plus, they have special deals so when you order, say $25 of food you get a free order of spring rolls. That's kinda nice! And online ordering is key. I hate the phone, and especially hate ordering food on the phone. It's always so freaking loud and the person on the other end whispers or mumbles something super fast. It doesn't matter if I'm ordering Chinese or Pizza. It usually goes like this: Me: Hi, can I place an order for delivery? Them: dlivwhatlike Me: Ohhkay, I can order? I'd like chicken and broccoli, spring rolls, sesame tofu and rice. Them: smtofuchbrocl anelse? Me: What? Them: anelse? homosayswhat? Me: What? Them: Yes, address? Now, the food is classic Chinese-American fare, but not as greasy and gloopy as some places. You can eat at Wok n Talk when sober, you don't need to be impaired to think the food tastes yummy. But they're open ridiculously late, so maybe it'll taste even better with a little alcohol in ya. Worth a try, right? That said, it's not "healthy," just not as terrible for you as some other Chinese places where you eat and are all, "glrbchomp This is sooooo good," and can't move 20 minutes later because there's a half cup of grease sitting in your belly. I found the portions to be generous enough for the price and quality. It's more than you can eat in one sitting, unless you're really baked I guess. And they deliver to JP! The delivery guy was decent, he called when he was outside in the car. I guess a lot of people have doorbells that don't work. But some people have phones they put down in other rooms on vibrate, so I almost missed the call. My bad! Also, he wasn't in much of a rush to get out of the car and up the stairs to my door, as I stood there with the door open freezing my ass off. Can't say I blame him, but still. The delivery charge was $2 I think, and I threw a few extra bucks in for the guy. I ordered on a Friday night and it was a little less than 30 minutes for delivery. That's pretty quick.

1am delivery? Decent food? Nice driver? Yup! I'll try this place again at a more appropriate dinner time... but yeah at 1am their delivery was solid. Was able to order online too!

When I walk in the smell was great. Thinking this might be the spot but I was so disappointed. Order fried rice and salty squid. No favor or so called infusion favor. Very pricey too. I won't be coming back.

I only ordered from here once but the food was great. The noodles were tasty and it offered varying degrees of heat! The sesame chicken was good as well. Quick delivery and reasonable prices. They have different menu options than some of the other cuisine available in the Mission Main area

I can't even remember how many times I've been here. 90% of those times were after midnight. It isn't so much that I was craving for American Asian food, but the fact that they have free WIFI, and open LATE and the staff don't care how long you're there is always a PLUS in my books. Each time I've gone I've always ordered something different. They actually measure out the food content so each order is exactly the same. Not one order has more of anything than another. This is good, especially when you're trying to watch how much you're eating. The price is a bit on the steep end in comparison to most fast food/take-out joint. But, they do cook it right in front of you, with whatever you want more of, or less of. Their smoothies are very good. If you ask, they will also make something that's not on the menu too :) If you're extra nice, that is. The staff has changed a bit since it opened, and I don't think I liked it as much as I used to, but nonetheless, the place seemed to have more customers at night than during the day and it seems to have more deliver orders than eat-in. Just as well, the place wouldn't be too crowded and with drunk obnoxious people. I always feel welcomed here and it's a familiar face. The staff are actually very nice and say hello to you. They'd ask if there as anything you want or need and overall, well rounded. My favorite dish -- "Pad See U" haha Oh.. as for the menu, it looks sorta strange, as if there aren't many options but there actually is a lot. You just have to learn how to use it first. Every thing is categorized. And if you're unsure or need help, just ask - they're actually pretty helpful.

As far as Mission Hill eats go, this is among the best. Chinese-American classics cooked to order and with an adequate degree of spice; what more could you ask for? Oh that?? Yeah, they're open until 3am! Holla!! Maybe you could give two poops about how clean the kitchen is when ordering some late night grub, but I'll have you know that despite having opened several months ago the kitchen is still spotless. The food tastes great, which can only mean it's fresh, and at a price point that fits most students' budgets, you can't go wrong ordering from this little gem. Veg options are available for all you herbivores riding your tricked out fixies by S.Huntington; Gè bo!

UPDATE: Changed my star rating from a 4 to a 3. TAKE FOREVER TO TAKE MY ORDER OVER THE PHONE! 10 minutes on the phone for a simple order. MUST get an english speaking person operating the phone. Entirely too complicated to communicate. One of my standard go-to's. No minimum order for delivery, sometimes fast-ish, pretty cheap. Reliable. Edith is a sweetie. I always get the Pad Thai, roomie always gets fried rice. It might not be gourmet, but cover that shit in Sriracha and you're GOLDEN. Plus, if you eat inside, they don't get all aggro and kick you out for mooching off the internet for too long. Stay as long as you want. ...although the decor looks a little like Pinkberry on crack

food showed up ridiculously late, wasn't even hot, and wasn't what I ordered/how i ordered. the pork buns were rubber, absolute rubber. it was awful we had to throw it out becuase it was so disgusting and we would rather not get food poisoning from poorly prepared food.

About the only thing this place has going for it is the late hours and friendly staff. I've found most of the dishes I've tried too sweet and lacking in flavor overall. I can appreciate good, cheap Asian fusion cuisine, but this isn't it.

I placed an order for pickup from Wok N Talk last night and had a great experience there! My food was ready within 15 minutes and it was packed securely for my 30 minute ride home in 20 degree weather. I arrived at home and everything was hot and delicious! I ordered vegetarian spring rolls, edamame, hot and sour soup, and Pad Yew with tofu and veggies. Usually hot and sour soup can be a little bland at a lot of Chinese restaurants. This soup was hearty, very tangy, and had just the right amount of kick. The edamame were salted and tender. The spring rolls were large and crisp. The Pad Yew was also very good. Often when I ask for extra veggies, they skimp, but for the price of $10.95 they added a whole lot of veggies and plenty of tofu in addition to a substantial amount of rice noodles. Service was very pleasant and friendly. I also really appreciated how much attention the cook paid to my food allergy. Overall, a very positive experience!

A find this place a tad bit on the expensive side, especially for delivery. However, I really like the food. My favorite dish is the tofu pad thai. Unfortunately they got rid of my bf's favorite dish (fried pork), so I hope they bring it back. Also, they are open late and have bubble tea. :)

It's my favorite "Pan Asian" restaurant in the JP/Roxbury area. I usually get take out and the food is always made fresh. From Thai dishes to your standard Chinese American dishes, they really know how to keep me coming back. The prices are fair for the portions.

Don't judge this one by its dive-y appearance! Sure, it smells smoky/musty, and the decor is outdated. But the food is always dependable. The food is made specifically for you, so it's easy to substitute and you know it's fresh. It's also pretty healthy for Chinese take-out. Not amazing, but worth a try.

We arrived late in Boston and was referred to this place by our hotel for late night delivery. It was a very snowy night so we understood when the Resturant told us that there would be a delay of 1 hour 20 minutes. We assume it would take one hour to prepare our food and 15-20 minutes to deliver. What they did not tell us was that our order would be traveling with the driver for over two hours while he made several other deliveries. By the time the food arrived it was stone cold, and only of the three items matched what we had ordered. To make matters worse there were no packets of sauce, or napkins, or utensils (chop sticks / forks). We had paid over $50 for the order. When we called to complain they promised to send us new hot food, but when we called back about an hour later no one seemed to know what we were talking about, so we had to explain again. After another hour they again promised that someone was on their way to us. We kept calling them after that point and they replied that someone was on their way. Eventually about 3 hours later a delivery guy finally arrived with a hand full of chop sticks and sauce, but no food. They told us that the kitchen had just closed and that no one could cook for us. We gave the cold food back to the delivery guy and they refunded our money. When I think about it, my first clue of a problem was that the menu was way to big for them to be good at anything in particular. And second if we knew that they were so far away for the hotel we would never had ordered from them, but we trusted the hotel to recommend a place nearby. My major complaint is that a business should never promise on something that they can not deliver. It would have been better for both parties if they just told us that they were too busy to properly service downtown Boston, then we would have ordered else where rather than keep us hoping that everything would be a right.

OPEN TILL 3AM!? Did you say even later then food wall? Fuck yes! So my friend and I made the really foolish decision while drunk to walk home from a bar in Fenway to JP, because who needs the T when you're drunk!? amirite? So, as we reach the corner of Huntington and South Huntington I see the oasis that is Wok N Tok amongst all the shitty pizzerias. Being dehydrated, and needing some carbs badly, wok n talk pretty much could have been placed there by god himself. We split the Kung Pao Tofu over brown rice. It was a solid choice. The tofu was fried very nicely, the chilis in it were actually hot, I loved that the vegetables in it had a really good variety (squash, peppers, some other stuff), and of course peanuts! The portions were a little smaller than food wall, but the food also seemed slightly healthier and there's a clean bathroom and nice seating area. The lady at the register who shared my namesake was also very chipper for it being 3am. I even saw her letting people order after 3am, just out of the goodness of her heart.

I'm glad it's open late we need a restaurant in Boston for the night shift. Having said that it's hot and fast the place is clean, menu is confusing and EXPENSIVE expect to pay $10. + for a meal. I wish they would offer a simple build your own plate that starts with rice or lo mein then 1 2 or 3 sides. Food is 3 stars edible but if I had another option for Chinese in the area I'd go there. Portions are enough without being excessive. Staff is polite rest room is clean. If you want you can watch your food being made it's an enjoyable plus for me because it kills the wait time. The wok skills are fun to watch. That's it for now good luck eating late in town my night owls.

I really like Wok N Talk, it's actually tied with Food Wall as my favorite delivery place. I've tried quite a few things: the sweet and sour chicken is good, the wok ribs are delicious (not too fatty at all, tasty glaze), the edamame is cooked well (and often free via a coupon for ordering over a certain dollar amount), and the chicken teriyaki is pretty good (this is one area in which Food Wall still reigns supreme). The variety of choices you have with the meals here is nice; you can choose between three types of rice (steamed, brown, and fried) and two types of noodles with most entrees. You also have the ability to add a side of veg, which I recommend because the vegetables are cooked very well, not a bit mushy. Delivery estimates via Foodler have been pretty spot on. Prices are pretty good. I know some people have complained of portion sizes, but I don't mind them; I'd rather have just the right amount of food rather than leftovers I feel obligated to eat the next day.

I'll give it one star because it was fast delivery and the bubble tea was good. Otherwise, I feel ripped off. I ordered the $11.25 lunch special which was supposed to include 2 entrees, 1 appetizer, rice, a soda, and I added noodles. The option on grub hub clearly states add noodles for $3 and my receipt says the same thing. However I only got noodles - no rice. I also didn't get the soda. So they missed not 1 but 2 items on my order. The food was ok but with the missing items, I'm not likely to order again. The lunch special did seem like a good idea, my thought was that it would be 2 meals, but no.

I Foodler-ed Wok n Talk last night. Food tasted very fresh and any place with taro bubble tea is good in my book! I even had to call and change a couple things in my order and the woman I talked to was very sweet. I will say though, when Foodler says 'spicy basil sauce', they really mean 'burn your face off, but still delicious basil sauce'. Next time I'll go in and customize my sauce-to-spice ratio or just write it in my Foodler notes. The staff here is super accommodating, if you have any issues or would like something changed, just ask! Even the delivery driver is nice!

ohhhhh Wok n Talk. I want to like you because you're the only food place on our end of South Huntington and you stay open late. With that being said, you are just O.K. The way that you know this place is just O.K. is because it's rarely crowded yet it stays open until THREE and has Asian food. I mean, c'mon, people wait forever across the street at Joe's pizza to get a slice late night and this area is rampant with college kids so it should be a hit. So, I'll lead with the positives. The pad thai and regular fried rice are good. Another plus is their smoothies. Surprisingly DELISH. Open late and delivery are other pluses. The problem is that there is not enough variety in the menu. Most Asian places have lots of rices and lots of noodle dishes. Wok n Talk does not. You get fried rice or pad thai. Their other rice dishes like black pepper chicken and sweet and sour are on a short list and not good at all. Also, the prices are also a bit much for the environment. You can sit in wok n talk but it's far from fancy so it's not somewhere you'd take a date or a friend you haven't seen in a while. But, somehow most dishes are at least $11. They also don't have sriracha sauce, which for me is big NO NO if you call yourself a Thai restaurant. Overall, decent if you live in the area. If you don't, not worth it.

Terrible service. One person ahead of us in line and no one in the restaurant - and it still took 25 minutes to order and 30 minutes to get one meal. They had 6 folks behind the counter and it was 5:30, so no excuses.

Aw man, Wok N Talk. I always try to have at least three experiences with a place before giving it a review, but I really don't think I'm going to ever order food from this place again. The first time I ordered from here I had just come into town at 1 am and Wok N Talk was one of the few places still open and delivering. I remember the food being mediocre, but I was so hungry I gave it a pass. The second time was tonight, and I couldn't actually eat more than a bite of the two dishes I ordered (Pad Thai and Basil Fried Rice). The Pad Thai was greasy and bland while the Fried Rice was so bad I had to spit it out: it tasted like it was cooked in the dish room in a dirty pot. I know some people don't mind sub-par, greasy food (I'm looking at you, drunk, late-night-ordering college kids! Not that there's anything wrong with that; I was once a drunk, late-night-ordering college kid myself, after all), but there are too many other good options in the area to waste your money here. UPDATE! Just spotted some MEAT in my veggie tofu Pad Thai as I was dumping it in the garbage! That's majorly messed up. Seriously, if someone's order consists solely of tofu and veggies, it's a pretty good bet that person doesn't want any meat in their food.

I absolutely LOVE that Wok N Talk is open and delivering until 3AM! I ordered the spicy chicken pad thai and it was delicious! The portions are also really large, so I was able to make 2 meals out of the entree. I will definitely be coming back here very soon! Despite the exterior of the building, the restaurant is pretty nice and clean.

Wok N Talk is now our go-to place for Thai or Chinese food. And by "go-to," I mean "order from Foodler." Sometimes I'm feeling enough like a recluse that I don't want to interact with another human being until my food is delivered, and Foodler is really the way to go. The Drunken Noodles and Basil Fried Rice are our favorites, and if you order a couple of bubble teas (so tasty!) you can get free spring rolls (at least on Foodler), so that's what we usually do. I can't recommend the Sweet & Fired Chow Fun, which I tried on a lark last time--gummy and mostly flavorless. They almost always deliver well before their estimate, by the way, so if you want to schedule a delivery in advance (as we did on New Year's Eve on our way home from the airport) keep that in mind.

It took them a total of 20 minutes to make my Pad Thai and Cheese Rangoons AND deliver it! I'm giving this place three stars mainly for their fast and friendly service. The food could have been better. Both my Pad Thai and Cheese Rangoons were lacking in flavor, but were still satisfactory. I will definitely be ordering from here more often when I'm hungry and need a quick fix!

This is one of my favorite places in the area (other than Joseph's). I think of it less as a greasy chinese take out and more like a healthier panda express. If I wanted "real" Cantonese food, I'd just go to Chinatown. Everything here is clean, it has the basics of Asian food (stirfry, fried rice, rice/egg noodles, bubble tea), and it tastes good and is pretty fresh. The fact that they even have Chow Fun and make it pretty well is even better. Since the only places around as competition are Brigham Circle Chinese Food (which closes at 11 in a college neighborhood, wtf), Food Wall (eh), and Charlie Chan's, there is no contest. They also offer reasonable delivery, unlike unnamed #1 Chinese restaurant or whatever it's called. Finally, they usually have Katy Perry playing everytime I go in there...love it. Interesting that people are raging against styrofoam containers; all the one's I've had are plastic, and I never knew it was such a huge issue to eat off styrofoam.

I came here for takeout around dinner time, food was ready on time. I ordered crab rangoons and general gaus chicken, which came with white rice, and 2 spring rolls came free with the meal. They give you a lot of food, there was a whole separate container of rice with a fairly large serving of chicken. However, the chicken was very vinegary, and I had to cut the flavor with a lot of rice. The rolls were bland, but not bad per se. The crab rangoons were standard, although the edges were slightly burned. This place is pretty ok, I'd recommend it, although I'd order a few different things next time.

Update: the dumplings are delicious. Came here out of necessity for the free wifi, which is slow but JP sucks at having free wifi places, and I hate Starbucks. Myeh. The pad tai was soggy and boring, despite the "It's my favorite, soooo good!" - LIES, cashier girl, lies. There were like 3 pieces of green onion in that thing...spring for some more veggies, Mr. Wok. The 'cheese rangoons' were an awkward texture & reminded me of the generic Stop & Shop brand egg rolls in my freezer at home. :( Sad. I really wanted to like this place because it's down the street from me.

Love this place already! Have been here three days in a row (hectic work schedule this week - don't judge), and food and service have been fabulous each time. Pad Thai is light, tasty, not too greasy and only $7.25 for the chicken variety. Is it as delicious as Brown Sugar's, or Montien's? Not quite. But so damn close I'm tempted to say that, yes, it is, and for the price, you certainly can't beat it. The orange chicken was also great, and tasted more like actual chicken than I'm used to in a Chinese restaurant. I wouldn't exactly call this place "healthy," although their menu boasts that they use fresh ingredients, and cut fresh vegetables daily (and, of course, no MSG). You can definitely tell, which I think is what sets this place apart from other places in the same price range. I'm looking forward to trying this place out for breakfast (umm, who knew Asian restaurants could open at 6am to make breakfast sandwiches and pancakes?), and also would totally dine in with a friend, as the place is pleasant enough inside. One last thing. Love my server Edith. She is warm, friendly, and even asked me to write out my name on a slip of paper to make sure she was pronouncing it properly. Totally above and beyond her job description, and very much appreciated by this former food service worker.

Perhaps I should have stuck with Chinese food there... I tried pad see ew which came with appropriate fat flat noodles... but had a weird mixture of vegetables stir fried with it. Couple pieces of zucchini, some green bell peppers, some celery and carrots. WHAT? It's like they just decided to make vegetable stir fry and throw in some flat noodles with soy sauce and decided to call it pad see ew. But then again, I don't know what real pad see ew is supposed to have as part of their vegetable component. I just know I didn't like this combination =(. I ordered honey green tea and ended up with honeydew bubble tea. Ooops, but whatever. It was okay, little too sweet, and obviously made from powder. Where can I find some fresh fruit bubble tea and good boba in Boston??

Finally something other than Joseph's! I live right across the street from Wok n Talk and it's so refreshing to have something new in the area! The staff is very friendly, making you feel like you're business is needed! The food is not the regular greasy chinese take out that I'm used to in the area, most dishes come over a bed of white rice and the Orange chicken was very tasty. Overall a very good late night meal and I'll be going back there many times.

I went here after hearing "eh" reviews from a friend, wanting to give it a shot myself. I was attracted by the prospect of free wifi and a new place to camp out. Unfortunately, I was unimpressed. It's not that the food is bad. It's perfectly good food, but nothing really special. The restaurant is clean and the staff is extremely friendly. As a JP local, I was hoping it would be a good rival to Food Wall, alas it wasn't.

Interesting review here. I got back from a business trip and was jonesing for some Chinese food and some Dr. Pepper. No car, no interest in going out, just seeking straight-up delivery. Wok 'n talk was the third place I called - they said they didn't have Dr. Pepper, but the guy offered to walk next door and buy me some and include it in the delivery. Awesome. That guy is my hero. The food gets here, and it's really tasty - but it's not enough at all. Four chicken wings is not four wings, it's four little pieces of the wing, and they're very small (but again, very tasty). The wonton soup is delicious. The fried rice is a bit pricey, but pretty good. My roommate orders the crab rangoon and the scallion pancakes, and is a fan of both. I tipped the guy $5 for being so cool about everything, then I look down, and I see a $7.55 delivery charge (after I had tipped $5). WTF? That's insane. So I call up, I complain about 1) the chicken wings, and 2) the delivery charge. They say there's nothing they can do about it, but they did refund my $5 additional tip and offered me 20% off my next order. I can live with that. Major props to the guy who went out of his way to feed my borderline-irrational craving for Dr. Pepper. Not enough food for the money, but they were working with me on the phone and that's pretty good business (and not something you usually get from Chinese food places). Might go back for the 20% off, but probably wouldn't return otherwise. NEED BIGGER SERVINGS. Service: 5 stars (6, really) Food quality: 4 stars (very tasty) Food quantity: 1 star (for an industry that specializes in quantity over quality, they failed miserably here) Aggregate score: 3 stars

Wok n Talk seems to have a highly evolved concept of what they want to do. They're mixing wok-cooked Chinese take-away style food with flavored teas and smoothies. As a pairing, it seems a little awkward. But taken seperately, the two kinds of offerings might just work in the long run. The food itself averages out to be decent. The Pad Thai was very nice, light and slightly sweet and didn't try to bury you in bean sprouts. The Pad Sew, more like a Beef Chow Fun with extra veggies thrown in, was just okay. Not bad, just not all that distinctive. The "Cheese Rangoon," basically a crab rangoon without any pretense of crab in it, was kind of a waste. Over-fried and tasteless. The whole experience was at least good enough that I'd like to try some of their rice dishes next time. And the Pad Thai was good enough to ensure that there will be a next time for me. But what's really odd, and somewhat confusing, is the decor. The walls are bright orange and green, and it's all very well lit. It's very pretty...but it just feels wrong for the food. Even at its best, Chinese food can be a little greasy. The color scheme, which seems to have been chosen for the smoothies rather than the food, makes you expect that you'll be eating something healthier than what's actually being served. Despite that, it's a nice little place. It's nice to have a late night alternative, and when their hours expand to mornings their smoothies and tea will probably go over well with the T and Bus riders who have major stops right in that area. Things were a little disorganized tonight, but they've only been open a few days and they seemed anxious for feedback. I suspect they'll get the major kinks worked out soon, and I'm giving them Three 'benefit of the doubt' stars for food with potential, and a bright cheery addition to the neighborhood.

I've only been here once, but I really enjoyed my experience. The staff is *ridiculously* nice and conversational, so don't come if you want to get in and out fast. I had a smoothie and some made-to-order pad thai. Their smoothies are super thick and very icy while also being milky, which was interesting. Everything is made in front of you, and comes out *super* hot. They're new, so the menu is always changing and they might not have some of the stuff that is listed. I hope they get through their growing pains though, because this place seems to have a lot of potential and it is in an area that could use this kind of food; Joseph's (across the street) is a good standby with a lot of character, but enough of that food will send you on the path to coronary failure. At Wok n Talk you can actually get a reasonably healthy meal. But if you wanna clog your arteries they'll help you with that too.

Over sugared imperial rib without any steamed broccoli or Bok choi is not a dish I will recommend. This place does a lot if selection, but if my dish was any indication, I doubt they do many of them well. I guess my palate can't be tamed with the usual salty, sweet, fat, spice pork bomb that was dished out by these guys. With that said I would try the place again if I was hungry in JP and out of options.

First visit. I should have asked for a smoothie with tapioca pearls. Half the cup of my milk tea was ice, and the drink part was too sweet. At the end, I was fishing around in a cup full of ice to find the leftover bubbles. Sad face. Still, it's the closest option I have to get my hands on bubble tea near my apt. So I'll give it a try again with a smoothie. The people are indeed very nice. It was going to take them 15 mnts or more to make more brown rice, but atleast they let me know when I placed the order, and was nice about it while I waited. The interior was well lit and roomy, so the wait wasn't so bad. The shrimp kung pao stir fry was good. Fresh, simple. Nothing much to say about the flavor, but atleast it wasn't coated in grease like the usual takeout stir fry. The vegetable pieces weren't indistinguishable and was still in it's original color and texture. The other reviews scared me off the noodle dishes, but will have to try that next time.

The food is delicious and they give large portions! Be wary of ordering online though; my meal last night took an hour and a half to get about 5 blocks. The driver was really apologetic, but it was somewhat annoying that it took so long, especially for 10pm on a Sunday. However I will definitely continue to order from them because of their wide variety.

Oh yeah! Finally some good Asian food in Boston. After my experience at Nan-Lings a couple years ago I'm always a little wary. Its actually very nice inside, and they have a lot of options, even if you're veg. The food is not greasy at all, you actually feel like you might be eating something good for your body. I'd say better than Terikayi House, and closer to me as well. Prices are reasonable. The servers and staff are extremely friendly, and came to check on my friend and I twice, even though its counter service only. Something about nice Asian people makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Definitely going to back for some bubble tea and cheese rangoons!

Ordered via foodler. I live less than a mile away but the delivery took an hour and a half to arrive (it came 45 minutes after their estimate, and 25minutes after I called and told it would be there in two minutes). Food was cold when it arrived and pretty bland. Also expensive, I ordered the extra large size to share and it was barely enough for 2 people--it was the same size as my friend's regular except several dollars more. Overall very disappointed, won't be ordering delivery from them again. However, their bubble tea is good, but again very expensive.

If I could leave a 1/2 star I would! We used to absolutely love this place, the ingredients were fresh and everything was very tasty! We went tonight, my husband couldn't finish his beef stir fry, although we aren't convinced it was even beef. The fried rice was worse than panda express. My lo mein was so gross I only had a little bit, it wasn't only dry, but also bland. The rangoons were chewy and not crisp at all. And now, I don't even feel good. Also, for those 3 items, we paid $30.... really????!!!!!

Almost 20 minutes to make orange chicken and fried rice? Seriously? The scene in the kitchen was like the Keystone Kops, everyone running around and yelling at each other, but no one knowing what to do. That said, the food was decent, if overpriced and unexceptional. However, they're a convenient place to get bubble tea, so I guess they have that niche covered. The blond, very non-Chinese guy at the cashier (Joshua?) couldn't have been nicer or friendlier. Too bad the kitchen was a mess. Unlikely I'll go back for anything but bubble tea, and only if I'm waiting for the 39 bus.

I have been here twice. Both times I rallyy enjoyed things. If you are unsure of what you want, do not hesitate to ask. Say "hey I like those vegetables of there and with tofu and chicken and maybe some spicy sauce" and you will get everything you want on a wonderful steamed bed of rice or noodles or fried rice. They do a very good job in there They have plenty of parking I wish the smoothies were a little bit more made to order and customized. The staff is great. They do not have waiters and waitresses. Watching the chefs work with a break pad style wok is pretty darn cool. Fire is everywhere!

I really enjoyed the atmospher and the free wifi. The free hot and sour soup was one of the best sous ive had at cheap Chinese places. Its always enjoyable to watch you food being made. I had the orange chicken and i wasnt the biggest fan, but it still had a decent taste. They also have a very nice selection of teas with tapioca (bubbles).

I am glad to see that so many people have already given this place positive reviews! I went here for lunch this afternoon, and I was pleasantly surprised by the experience. First of all, the three employees were as nice and as helpful as could be, taking the time to introduce themselves to me explain all of the menu items. They assured me that everything was custom-made and that they were happy to take special requests. I ordered the Kung Pao stir fry with tofu; it was very tasty and an extremely generous portion. I would probably ask for more sauce next time, which I heard someone else do when they ordered and they were happy to comply. I'll also have to try the bubble tea/smoothies next time...they looked delicious and also quite large. Also, the decor is awesome and really welcoming. Really neat concept, and it's fun to watch them cook your meal in front of you. Not too expensive either! Overall.....A+ for customer service (seriously, the NICEST people ever), B+/A- for food (definite A- had I asked for extra sauce) and A for ambience. I'll enjoy giving these people my business for as long as I live in Boston.

The place is Amazing!. It is a great addition to the neighborhood which was a bit dull with only... Pizza (Joe's , I am still an avid customer of yours). Service was amazing with great smile , explanations and lots of good humor. it was squeaky clean , and food was absolutely D-E-L-I-C-O-U-S. Opening hours - guys , you are amazing. Make it till 2 AM . it will finally make Boston some sort of European go-out place! Oh , and the price is extremely affordable!!!

Great, fresh Chinese food. Decent variety and the food doesn't taste greasy or fatty at all. Great portion size as well. The kung pao and black pepper stir fry dishes are both tasty and a bit spicy, which I was very happy with! I highly recommend the mango smoothie!! Thick, delicious, and not overly sweet.

My main basis of comparison for this place is Food Wall, mostly because I live just around the corner from Food Wall and have been there a bunch. Wok N Talk (what a horrible name) is substantially farther away, but also less likely to give me the grease-brick in my stomach that usually occurs about 30 minutes after polishing off a bucket of Food Wall. This place is slightly less greasy, less delicious, and more expensive. BUT. The spring rolls are awesome. I got the veggie spring rolls, miso soup, and some tofu lo mein. All definitely good, but clearly trying a bit too hard on the made-to-order front because it's a little bland. I'll be back for spring rolls, but otherwise I'm going to stick to my old standby.

I am disappointed. Horrible customer service. Wok n tok is overpriced, but it's convenient so I gave it a chance. I've ordered from them a few times through grub hub and it was decent. This time they gave us the wrong chicken and forgot our fried rice. This is understandable and people make mistakes. I called and the girl who answered was really nice. She was going to have a driver come out and just put me on hold to confirm with the manager. After being on hold while other orders were taken, the manager told her to call me back because they were busy! I asked when they would call me back and she said she didn't know it might be awhile. Um excuse me, I ordered and paid and you messed up. I'm not going to wait around for you to maybe call me back. What a waste of money. I'm not ordering from them again. Mistakes happen, but when you run a business and mess up, you need to correct it. Just don't expect much from them.

I ordered my food an hour a half ago, hour and gadamn half.... I live two friggen blocks away. Two gadamn, friggen, BLOCKS! I HAVE BEEN WAITING AN HOUR AND A HALF........ Think about that. Two blocks, hour and a half. The delivery guy could walked and got her 40 min earlier. When I finally got my food it was Miserable! I thought there was a typo when it said Cream Cheese rangoon... Yep not even a trace of crab, or monk fish or anything. At least they are being honest. The wrapper was hard and waxy and gross. Tasted artificial. The Gyoza looked burnt. I thought it was supposed to be steamed. It was crunchy and wierd. What is this crap. By the time I made it to the orange chicken I was done with eating this sh!t. The chicken was mushy and bland, the onions were pretty much still raw. This place sucks. Sucks. Sucks. Sucksssss!

I'm always a little leery of ordering Chinese food, but faced with the usual suspects on Foodler, I ordered from Wok n Talk and was pleasantly surprised. The food arrived quickly (I received it 20 minutes earlier than the estimate I got from the Foodler site) and the delivery man was very nice. The prices were also reasonable for the size of the portions and the freshness of the food. I ordered the orange chicken, which was delicious, and the spring rolls, which were good (I'm a picky spring roll person). The portions were generous, and I have enough for dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow. All in all, it was a great experience and I look forward to ordering from them again!

This is a really good, affordable place to eat. They have delicious Chinese and Thai (well only Pad Thai) dishes. I have been ordering from here for the past three nights and enjoyed it. The only problem I had was that Foodler speicifes 8 Chicken Gyoza, but I was given 6 on my order. Otherwise, check this place out if you are in the area or getting food delivered.

3 hours and no food. Ordered via Foodler so I am wondering who I get to argue with about my $60. No one answers the phone there either. Also was super overpriced ... $8 for delivery that never shows up!

So I've been here a bunch of times now and if I could add an extra star I would. They cook your food right in front of you and it's fun to talk with the chefs and tell them EXACTLY how you like your food. Plus the flames around the wok are awesome. The chef I talked with gave me an new experimental hot sauce with lemongrass that was delicious (update: ask for "DRUNKEN NOODLE" - I think it's a secret menu like In-n-Out). He also gave me a side of the red pepper sauce they make there. Seriously, one of the best pad thai meals I've ever had in my life. The last time I went I asked for extra veggies (for $1), but I didn't feel like I got enough. So this time they gave me way more for free. Basically, chat them up and they'll make sure you leave completely satisfied.

Confused about the address and the map where they show the location on Yelp but the food is solid and we will be going here often. I think it's more Mission Hill than Hyde Park and it's right near the intersection of South Huntington and Huntington Ave where the River Way E Line T stop is. There is also a 39 bus stop right in front of their door. The location is great and it's brand new so everything is clean and nice looking. The teriyaki beef was very good and we also got some spring rolls and an order of beef pad Thai. They were pretty busy, which is a good sign and the food was ready pretty fast. We look forward to exploring their menu and trying different things. We are fans and will be bigger fans when they get a website and figure out the address issue.

Looked for an Asian place nearby and found this place on Yelp! Glad I did. It's within a mile and has its own parking which is greatly appreciated. Pad Thai was decent. Orange Chicken was very good. Pad Sew was so-so. Staff was friendly. I will go again.

A group of four of us ordered from here, appropriately late night around 1 or 2. we ordered 2 orders of tofu drunken noodles, the tofu pad thai, the orange chicken, and scallion pancakes, and spring rolls. Everything was pretty fucking tasty, granted we were all pretty fucking wasted, but i just macked on some leftovers, and it was still pretty tasty. Yeah they put some weird vegetables in some of the dishes, i tasted some sort of sweet fruit occasionally in the drunken noodles, but who cares. For late night food on a Wednesday night available for delivery in JP this is the JAM.

This is pretty good asian, in line with what you would expect. The two things that set this apart from other restaurants is the exceptional delivery time (seriously, very very fast) and the best hot and sour soup I know of. If you want something quick and tasty, go wok and talk

Tonight was my second night in a row for me eating at Wok N Talk as it is so conveniently located. Last night my order did not turn out right, but the food was still satisfactory. When I went back tonight I told them of the mix up and they took care of it. They were very engaging and friendly staff They were also very eager for feedback, which is a good sign! They asked me how my meal was after I told them they made sure I tried my food from them tonight to make sure it was to my liking before I had left, and it was. I will definitely be going back because of the customer service and good variety here. As for taste, it is as good or better than their competitors. They do more than Chinese, they also serve breakfast and make bubble tea and smoothies.

Terrible. I ordered pad thai from here and it was terrible--no flavor AT ALL. I ordered an chicken and vegetable plate from here and not only was my order wrong, it was not flavorful at all. I mean, if I'm going to eat cardboard, don't charge me 23.50 for it! A few of the positive reviews seem artifical, and promotional in nature. The the users who created them only have 1 or 2 reviews total, and are of competing restaurants of Wok N Talk. This place needs to get its act together or it won't be around for very much longer, even with forged reviews.

Decent Asian/chinese style food. I say Asian/chinese style b/c they also do pad thai and teriyaki. Its simple food, you pick your protein (beef, chicken, tofu, etc) and your style (teriyaki, black pepper, pad thai, etc) I had tofu kung pao and it was decent, not great, not bad. They just opened that day, still have some kinks to work out, but it is a much needed new choice in this area. I ill be back here

  • Cee L.

Great healthy vegetarian options. You would never guess how nice it is inside. Very fresh ingredients. Love the kung pao tofu. The pad sew was a bit less savory but still solid. They cook a bit low on the salt for my taste but nothing that a bit of soy sauce can't fix. Great location for take-out. WiFi and parking available on location.

Initially, I was a little put off by the new restaurant on the street, but after having gone to it enough times to know what to order, I really like Wok N Talk. The staff are always friendly and accommodating, the chicken teriyaki is definitely the best thing on the menu. The smoothies are really good, especially if you add the "bubbles" or tapioca pearls. Stay away from the orange chicken, and some of the appetizers, and you'll be fine. It's nice that it's open late, takes credit card, and you feel like you are dealing with people you can trust - plus you are shopping local.

I live around here and this place was much needed even if it's just to have an alternative to late night greasy pizza or the usual greasy chinese take-out. I loved the hot n sour soup and the spring rolls. I haven't worked my way through the menu yet, but I'm sure some late nights (open until 3am!) I'll wander in for some more tastiness. They are super friendly and the inside is clean and pretty. Also, free wi-fi, bonus if you need to get out of the apt to study.

This was a great restaurant to order out from. We ordered at 7:30pm on a Friday night (all online) and it was at our door by 8pm. Everything was great: crab rangoon, seasame chicken and pinapple fried rice- it even had raisins and zucchini! We'll definitely order from here again.

  • Amy F.

We are very excited to have this new option for take-out. Before this, it was only pizza or pasta. We have been very happy with Wok N Talk so far--the ingredients are fresh and the food is way better than your typical Chinese take-out. Plus - the prices are very reasonable. And like the other reviewers have said--the owner and staff are super-friendly and genuinely care about your feedback. Please support this restaurant!

Wok n Talk opened near my apartment at the beginning of the summer, and my roommate and I recently finally got around to trying it out. It was underwhelming, to say the least. She had some sort of sweet and sour veggies that came in a sticky sauce lacking in flavor, and I had the pad thai. It consisted of limp, sticky noodles and it was literally flavorless. The only reason I am even giving Wok n Talk 2 stars is that it was cheap for a decent portion, though in general I don't think their prices are that awesome of a deal. I won't be ordering from here again.

The decor is fantastic, the food is good. However, their concept is "fresh and healthy." It seems that by healthy they mean no msg and by fresh they mean the entrees are prepared to order. There is nothing particularly healthy about fried appetizers and white rice. It would be great if they could add some non-fried appetizers to the menu, and offer brown rice. It would also be great if they offered real fruit smoothies, instead of reconstituted powder. There is nothing fresh (or healthy) about powdered sugary water. There aren't really any items on the menu that are diet-friendly, but on days when I can afford the calories I will go back.

This place is amazing. The staff is friendly and attentive. They don't complain if your stay too long (which I have seen some owners do) and there's free wi-fi. The smoothies are delicious. It's not on the menu, but you can mix flavors. I usually mix strawberry-mango. Also, their take-out boxes are reusable and microwaveable, so that's a plus!

I've been here so many times.. This place is pretty great. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is because they recently changed their menu and they keep overcharging me for the same dish I get every time, which is the Sweet n' Sour Chicken. The food is not disgusting (in a good way) like most asian places around the area. I don't feel like my intestines are being subject to Justin Bieber or that I could sleep for 36 hours after eating it, which to me, means that it is HEALTHY food. They are open super late and have free Wi-Fi. Check it out.

Oh Wok N Talk, how we wanted to love you. We were so desperate for decent Chinese food delivery. But while your delivery guys arrive in a reasonable time frame (unlike Food Wall where we've had to wait over two hours at times to get our meal) you are way overpriced, give small portions and after only a few orders it is clear your food quality has gone way downhill. To pay close to $40 for two drinks and two small plates of mediocre food is a travesty. It's you, not us. Don't expect another call again.

I was lucky enough to have been their thrid customer on opening night, and was with a freind and we both greatly enoyed our dishes, thats huge on a new places first night. I have eaten thier three times and have enjoyed it all three times. The concept behind their dishes is fresh and flavorfull, not the so typical overpowered soy sauce or oyster sauced americanized asian dishes. The proportions are also very good. The design and layout is great very clean and mordern as well as bright and fun, the floors and tables are very nice. One really cool thing is that on the line you get to watch them cooking inthe wol so its a fun line to stand in. They also have parking which is huge in the area were most places do not have parking.

I ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai and Scallion Pancake. Both were great, even better than Food Wall down the road. Good Asian cuisine is hard to find in Boston, so def check this one out. Staff is SUPER friendly and chatty, which is hard to find here. Prices aren't bad at all, and portions are great. The place is clean, offers WIFI, and has a parking lot. You can't beat it, really.

Excellent customer service and good food. I live nearby and go here a lot. They make your meal fresh to order and prices are decent. My only complaint is the menu is a little confusing at first, but other than that great local spot!

The food is delicious. You order it, and they cook it right in front of you. Also, friendly staffs, free parking and free Wi Fi. Not bad for a little place to kill some time with a cup of boba tea. You don't find a lot of restaurants like this one in Brookline.

wok n talk has opened recently .....and its so awesome....the place opens up at 11:00 a.m. and closes at 3:00 a.m......in a short time from now...they will open their doors at 6:00 a.m. to serve breakfast...... you are able to watch the food being cooked as you are waiting.....The chefs and the people who are taking your order...are all so super polite....and asks everybody if everything is to your liking....if you request for more spices ...or even substitute one thing for another.....they will accommodate you ....The food is very light and does not give you with that "stuffed feeling" ..since the warm weather is approaching ....I cannot resist the awesome smoothie's they serve......wok n talk is doing an outstanding amount of business........whether customers are dining in or taking out...everybody who I saw........would give their thanks to the chefs...as they leave very satisfied..... I have been going there everyday now since I have decided to try them about a week ago........(I wish I had tried them sooner) ..........wok n talk is a MUST to try.....

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
